Who is Saffron Souk' logistics partner?
Saffron Souk’s logistics partner is Aramex.
All UAE based sellers at saffronsouk.com are eligable to make use of Aramex to deliver orders however, you are not required to use our logistics partner if you prefer not to, provided you use the services of an equivalent company.
By using Aramex to deliver your orders, your customers benefit from:
- preferential shipping rates
- a reliable service from a reputable brand
- the option to pay via cash on delivery (COD) within UAE
As a seller, you benefit from:
- having a hassle free solution to shipping your orders
- shipping rates are automatically calculated for you
- Airway bills are issued to you, pre-filled with your customers delivery address
- a reliable service from a reputable brand, who will collect orders from your door
- providing your UAE based customers the option to pay via cash on delivery (COD)
I want to use Saffron Souk' logistics partner. How does it work?
When you list your product for sale, you have the option to use Saffron Souk’ logistics partner or choose to use an alternative method of delivery of your orders.
If you choose delivery via a courier of your choice, you will be prompted to fill in a shipping table of flat rates on the product listing form.
If you opt to use our partner courier, a rate calculator at the checkout will calculate the shipping charge that the customer will pay. The calculator bases the shipping charge on a. the customers delivery address and b. your product information.
When an order is placed at saffronsouk.com, the website will automatically calculate the shipping fee charged to the customer and Admin will generate a courier airway bill (AWB) for you to print.
Prepare your product and package your order ready for dispatch then contact Aramex on 600 544 000 to book a collection. If you have a lead time to produce your product, you may contact Aramex days or weeks after the order was placed and AWB created.
On collection, give the driver both your packaged order and the printed AWB.
Update the order status on your shop dashboard.
Payments. If you use Saffron Souk’ logistics partner, only the product price less fees will be credited to your shop account. If you use an alternative delivery method, the product price and shipping price less fees will be credited to your shop account.
Delivery areas. If you opt to use our partner courier, customers from anywhere in the world can make a purchase from your shop front so you must ensure you are able to ship your particular product worldwide.
If you choose to offer COD orders are currently limited to UAE.
Customers will receive an error message at the checkout unless you enter the following essential information:
Product data. It is your responsibility as the seller to complete the ‘Product Data’ section of your product listing form accurately and in full.
The dimensions and weight you enter are used to calculate the shipping charged to the customer. Allow for packaging.
If there is any discrepancy in the details you have entered and the actual dimensions and weight of the parcel when measured by Aramex resulting in the customer not being charged enough for the delivery, you (the seller) will be charged the difference.
The weight of any single parcel should not exceed 30.00kg in weight and 110x85x85cm in size.
Collection address. You need to enter the full collection address you would like the courier to use when collecting your orders for delivery. Please enter your collection address at Frontend manager > Shop settings > Front page.
Cash on delivery
If you want to offer cash on delivery (COD) as a payment option to your customers then you must use Saffron Souk’ logistics partner. Offering COD via other means for orders and enquires initiated via saffronsouk.com is not permitted at any time.
The delivery charges related to using COD for the customer are the same as for an order that has been paid for online. However if a customer can not be contacted by our logistics partner or chooses not to receive and pay for the order at the time of delivery, it will be returned to you at your expense.
COD is currently available to UAE based sellers and customers only.
Delivery times & areas
Typically deliveries with our logistics partner are made as follows:
- next business day delivery for deliveries between a UAE city limit location and the same or a different UAE city limit location. eg. from Dubai to Abu Dhabi
- 2 business days from a GGC city limit location and to another GCC city limit location. eg. from Dubai to Muscat
- 3 business days from a GGC city limit location to a city located outside the GCC.
International deliveries may be delayed in customs clearance if an invoice is not included with the delivery.
Possible delays. Collection and deliveries may be delayed if your location is classed as a non-service area. Customer deliveries may be delayed if a customer can not be contacted by our logistics partner.
Non-service areas. If a delivery address is located in a non-serviced area, our logisitcs partner will notify the customer to collect their parcel from one of their collection locations.
Abu Dhabi vicinity non-service areas include Musaffah, GAMCO (Gulf Aircraft Maintenance Co), Airport Terminal 1 after site office, Al Bahia, Al Khatam, Al Khazna, Al Raha, Al Rahba, Al Saad, Al Samha, Al Sila, Al Watba, areas starting with telephone number 51, Bainoona, Baniyas, Beda Zayed, Buhasa, Ghayati, Habshan, Jabel Dhana, Journ ya Four, Liwa, Madinat Zayed City, Mafraq, Mirfa, Mohd Bin Zayed City, Ruwais, Sahahah, Sila, Suwehan, Tarif, Taweelah, Yahar, Asab, Yas Island, Gandoot, Sir Baniyas, Guwaifath, Das Island, Musaffah-ICAS City 2.
Deliveries can not be made to Islands under Abu Dhabi jurusdiction, all security controlled zones and defence areas.
Non service areas in other Emirates include Al Wagan, Al Hayer, Al Remah, Shuhaib, Al Oha, Zakher, Maqam, Hill, Meyzad (after camp), Adan, Al Jeer, Shamm, Khath, Burairath, Siji Al Hail (crushers/dusan site), Shahma residential area Dhaid.
Booking a collection
You can book a collection by phoning Aramex on 600 544000 or +971 (4) 286 5000, quoting the number on your AWB.
Only orders with an AWB generated by saffronsouk.com will be collected by our logistics partner.
Print your AWB and when your order is packaged ready for collection, contact Aramex directly.
Request Aramex plastic delivery bags from the driver to put your packaged order in to.
Once collected, update your order status and message the customer the parcel tracking details and add them as a private note at the bottom of your order details as a record.
The introductory flat rate for a delivery within the UAE of a parcel and up to 5.0kg is 29.99 AED. Typically, increments of 2.50 will be charged for each additional 1.0 over 5.0kg.
Shipments are charged on the ‘which is greater’ rule (volume or gross weight).
Saffron Souk reserves the right to vary rates at any time.
Packaging. You are responsible for packaging products sufficiently to ensure they are received in good order. Product packaging including bubble wrap, stiffening card and the like shall be at your expense. Items deemed to be damaged during transit shall be replaced at your expense or via your insurance policy.

AWB. Although an airway bill (AWB) is issued to you by saffronsouk.com, it’s your responsibility to check and print it to accompany your parcel.
Book a collection. You must contact Aramex on 600 544 000 to schedule a collection of your parcel. As lead times for making, personalising, packaging, etc products varies from shop to shop, collection bookings are not automated and must be scheduled by you.
Insurance. Products shipped by our logistics partner are done so without insurance coverage provided. If you want to ship products with insurance then you are responsible to arrange and pay for your own insurance policy.
Saffron Souk nor our logistics partner shall be liable or responsible in any way for any damages, loss, cost or consequence resulting to you or a third party from your use or the inability to use the services.
Communication. It is your responsibilty to communicate with Saffron Souk’ logistics partner directly and with your customers to ensure your deliveries are made smoothly, efficently and on time.
Once collected, update your order status and message the customer the parcel tracking details.
Invoice. For international deliveries, print a copy of your order details and give it to the driver with your AWB. Aramex will require this invoice for customs clearance. If you are VAT registered, include a tax invoice.
